KE Peak Hours in Karachi

Peak hours change according to season; in winter, different peak hours and summer has different ones. According to the official K-Electric tariff page updated with SRO 279 dated February 12, 2026, K-Electric peak hours in 2026 are:

MonthsKE Peak HoursOff-Peak Hours
April to October 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM Remaining 20 hours
November to March 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM Remaining 20 hours

How to Reduce Your KE Bill with Net Metering in Karachi

If you are worried about the high bill, then K Electric Net Metering is the best solution. K-Electric allows solar users to send extra electricity back to the KE grid through a special green meter. This can help reduce electricity bills depending on your solar system size and electricity usage.
To apply, users need a KE connection of 1 kW, a solar system, CNIC, the latest electricity bill, and approved solar equipment. After approval by the inspection team, Karachi Electric installs a green meter for solar billing. The price for  Net metering of a solar system starts from  300,000 to 500,000 rupees in Karachi, based on usage.  So, in this way, you can generate your own electricity and reduce your bills through Net Billing.
