Checking the Bill Doesn’t Require Being in Pakistan

Paying the Bill While You’re Overseas
You have a few realistic paths here, depending on your situation.
Ask a relative to pay locally
This is the most common approach. Share the account number with a trusted family member in Karachi. They can pay through any of the standard channels. This includes JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank apps, or in person.
Use a Pakistani bank account you still hold remotely
If you maintain an active Pakistani bank account, most banking apps let you pay utility bills directly. You don’t need to be physically present. If you don’t have one, the Roshan Digital Account program lets non-resident Pakistanis open a Pakistani bank account entirely online. It’s funded from abroad, with no need to visit in person. It has grown substantially since launching in 2020, with hundreds of thousands of accounts opened by overseas Pakistanis.
Third-party international bill payment services
Several remittance and bill-payment platforms let you pay Pakistani utility bills directly from abroad using your local bank card. If you go this route, verify the service’s current legitimacy and fees carefully before sending payment. This guide can’t vouch for any specific provider.
Managing a Parent’s or Relative’s Account
If you’re helping a parent or older relative manage their K-Electric account from abroad, the same tools apply. You can check the bill on their behalf without needing account ownership. Set a recurring reminder to check it around the same time each month. You won’t receive WhatsApp alerts unless the registered number is one you control.
